April 17, 2008: Remembering Forgetting Sarah Marshall, John Bolton, and six-figure job seeking

Work In Progress

Published: April 17, 2008

It's been so long since Alex saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he's re-screening it before writing his review of the film, which opens tomorrow. As for me, I've seen those billboards and bus ads hyping the protagonist's fake blog for so long, I forgot the film wasn't yet open.

Erin will recap a fair and balanced live-and-in-person interview of John Bolton (former U.S. representative to the United Nations) being conducted by Fox News' own Eric Shawn at the Hatton W. Sumners Distinguished Lecture Series. The event is co-sponsored by the Dallas-based National Center for Policy Analysis, which has mistakenly identified Bolton as a former U.S. Ambassador, so don't believe everything you read. Hopefully the book Bolton's chatting up is more accurate than his p.r.

Minnie is working on a business story about Carrollton-based Rise Smart, a career services company exclusively for job-seekers who aim to earn $100,000 or more a year. She's also profiling McKinney mayor Bill Whitfield.

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
