The Toadies formed in early 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas. All four of the original members worked at the Sound Warehouse record store on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth. After several lineup changes and dead-ends, the Toadies broke on to the national scene in 1995 when "Possum Kingdom," from their Rubberneck album, began to receive regular play on MTV and radio. By the end of 1996, Rubberneck had sold over 1,000,000 copies, making the Toadies platinum record owners.
In 2001, the Toadies broke up, with Todd Lewis moving on to the Burden Brothers and Mark Reznicek joining Eleven Hundred Springs. However, the band occasionally gets together for reunion shows.

Ghostland Observatory Yes, they play here a lot because they are from Austin. No, that doesn't mean you can't see them again. Of course they will be back, but is that any excuse to not check out what some call the best live act this side of I-10? Didn't think so. "image by: Dániel Perlaky" '06 More info
