Seven Story Drop, which released its first CD in 2004, has shared the stage with acts like Journey, 38 Special, Seven Mary Three, Stroke 9, Sponge, Zac Maloy (formerly of The Nixons) and Edgewater. The band has licensing agreements with Hope's Voice, a national HIV and AIDS organization based in San Francisco, and it created the theme for Last Man Standing, a motocross reality show on the Speed Channel. In 2006, MTV agreed to air the Hope's Voice public service announcement with SSD's music.
The group was named one of Dallas' Top 10 Bands by Harder Beat magazine in 2001 and the #1 Band in Dallas by Barstar.com in 2002, and was nominated for Rock Band of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, and Acoustic Performance of the Year in 2004 by the Dallas Observer.
